"We better catch some Hucking fish"

Wes Allison and his crew talked about a tuna all day and got thier wish at about 1 o'clock. We were fishing for dolphin/sailfish when three of our dink rods bent over. The first fish was a bonita. An hour later the next two came up to be 45lb tunas on 25lb test! Good job by the anglers on a rough day. Thanks.

Thursday

We fished east of the inlet on Thursday with a makeup group. Pretty slow for the fleet that was up there. We pulled off two mystery bites and came up with a few dolphin. Thanks

Marlin Fishing

Marlin fishing has been good here over the last few days. We have some openings this week. Give us a call and we can get you out there. You don't know unless you go!

Friday

We started off bailing dolphin! As fast as you could catch them! The kids had a blast and we got our limit pretty quick. Then we went looking for a big bite. We hooked a blue marlin on the long shotgun bait. He ripped 100 yards of drag off before he spit the hook.....hmmm. We also saw a white marlin.

On the way home we ran into a squall line that was sitting right over the inlet. The picture barely shows how hard the rain and wind was. It also had hail and lightning mixed in....

Good day overall with a good group. Thanks John

Blue Marlin

Jim on the Hog Wild brought this blue marlin to the dock on Thursday. It weighed 711 lbs.....nice one. Thought you might enjoy the pictures.

Saturday

We had Joe Slovensky and his group from Chesapeake fishing with us. We had real good dolphin fishing and ended up with 40 gaffer size fish! Clint has got some good pictures of the day and when he gets back from Morehead this weekend we will put them up. Thanks

Monday

We had a make up party on Monday. We caught a nice tuna and a few dolphin. Thanks

Sunday

Van, Ronnie, and Mike. We went down south in search of the dolphin bite that was reported the day before. In the first ten minutes the thirty five pounder pictured came flying into the flat line. Mike earned a citation for that fish! Good way to start the day! After we put ten or so dolphin in the box a 350 lb blue marlin showed up on the flat line. We hooked him up but it didnt work out on the light dolphin tackle. All we got back was a chaffed leader and a broken swivel! Fun day with a fun crowd. Thanks

Saturday

Once again I forgot the camera! Greg Cambell and his group started off with a flat line bite while we were setting out the baits! We expected good things after that, but only ended up with a another tuna bite and a few dolphin. Tough day for us!!

Friday

We fished last friday with Jason and Zach. They caught a nice catch of gaffer dolphin on a real pretty day. I forgot the camera! If you have any pictures from the trip i'll put them up. Thanks

Saturday

Paul and his group wanted to go meat fishing, so of course after 30 minutes of setting the baits out we hook a blue marlin! After an exiting few minutes he broke the line.....bummer. We then picked at the gaffer size dolphin for the rest of the day. The dolphin fishing was much slower than what we have seen lately. We finished up with a hungry sailfish that came to the flat line right behind the boat. Kevin caught and released the fish unharmed. Thanks
