Wednesday

Brian McAndrew, his son Thomas, and his buddies joined us for a pretty day on the ocean Wednesday. The dolphin got after us early in the wide open and we caught a 37lb citation plus several 15lbers. Later in the morning we had some sailfish action in the baits. They were not very aggressive, we did get a shot at 1 or 2 of them but they didn't come tight. We finished off the day bailing a real pretty class of dolphin around a piece of floating 8x8 timber. Thanks

White Marlin

The white marlin bite has been good out of Oregon Inlet recently, so we rode along on the Marlin Gull for a day. We had a good time taking shots at these fish today. Alot of them were coming to the teasers and flat lines.

Alice Kelly Release Tournament

We had the pleasure of fishing the Alice Kelly with the F.I.N.S.S.S team this year. We caught 2 sailfish and a few dolphin. Glad everyone had a good time! Cheryl, if you have any pictures, send them to me at samanna@samannasportfishing.com Look forward to next year.

Between the weather and a broken rudder we made 1 out of 3 trips last week.

What a difference a day can make! We started off in the tuna hole hoping to just get a handful of bites. Another captain reported a change 8 miles outside of us, so we quickly aborted the tuna plan since it has been so slow and ran to it. We found a big grass line and immediately caught a 25 lb dolphin and then picked our way down it the rest of the day. We ended up with 8 nice 15-25lb dolphin and 30 bailers. 260 lbs of dolphin. Thanks
