Update

We have fished 5 days since the last report. Fishing has been hit or miss with the tunas and still real good gaffer dolphin fishing. We had a bottom fishing request one day and caught a nice catch of blueline tiles. Mate, Brian took the camera with him to fish the Big Rock tournament last week, which explains the lack of pictures. The posted picture is a 40lb wahoo that they caught in the tournament. They also released a blue marlin that was just short of the tournaments length requirements. Thanks

Tuesday

Tony and his wife had a really pretty day with us on Tuesday. We caught a yellowfin a few dolphin and a 200 lb blue marlin. Tony did a great job fighting the blue marlin on light tackle, 25 lb test. Thanks

Sunday

Beatuful slick calm day today. We found a few pieces of float throughout the day and came up with 24 gaffers. Thanks Van and Steven.

Friday

Once again, really good dolphin fishing today, 337 lbs. We pulled away from the dolphin around lunch time to look for a blue marlin. Not long after we got our chance but he didn't cooperate!! Good to see him though. There were a lot of blue marlin seen and caught from the oregon inlet/pirates cove fleet today. Thanks Kevin, look forward to seeing you guys next year.

Saturday

More great dolphin fishing on Saturday. The weather was pretty and we caught a tuna on the light tackle too......

Friday

Excellent Fishing for Ken Bateman and his crew. The big dolphin were flying into the baits 4 and 5 at a time! Multiple hookups were common throughout the day. As you can see in the picture above we had three on at one time. These fish are alot of fun on light tackle and put on a great show. By 2 o'clock we had 428lbs of dolphin and were headed for the dock. We also had an encounter with a large mako shark. We hooked him twice but he made short work of the mono leader......
